INSURANCE
As of November 1st, 2004, routine eye examinations provided by either an optometrist or physician, for patients aged 20 to 64 are no longer covered by OHIP.
Patients 65 years and older and under 20 will continue to have OHIP coverage for an eye examination once every 12 months. Please remember to bring your valid OHIP card every time.

Cedar Pointe and Stayner Optometry offices are a provider for most insurance plans available in Canada, including Great West life, Sun Life Financial, Blue Cross and Green Shield. In most cases we direct bill to participating insurance plans. Ask our staff how we can reduce your out-of-pocket payments through direct billing for eye exams and spectacles. Or, contact your vision plans’ customer service department to find out if Cedar Pointe or Stayner Optometry is a provider.
