Yearly comprehensive eye exams are recommended for most children and adults to monitor for changes in eye health and eyeglass prescription.
A comprehensive eye exam includes:
- determination of eyeglass prescription
- eye muscle imbalance
- focusing problems
- eye disease
A yearly exam
... may also include a dilation to check for signs of diseases such as glaucoma and cataracts or possible dangerous ocular effects of high blood pressure and diabetes.
Additional testing is always a consideration.
